Mineia
Mineia is a continent of Árdan. It is the most populous continent in the world and one of only two known continents to lie entirely within the regions illuminated by the Sun.
Etymology
The name "Mineia" comes from Old Hevistian Mineias, itself ultimately from Ancient Eshtem Minai "this land". The name originally referred to the world in general, but as more continents were discovered by Mineian civilisations, the meaning shifted to mean specifically the continent.

Extent
Mineia is located entirely in the illuminated region of the world, extending from the subsolar point to a distance of around 3,000 km at the furthest. It is surrounded by the X Sea, the Inner Sea, the X Sea, the X Sea, the X Sea and the Sun's End Sea. The Sea of Winds separates mainland Mineia from the islands of Astach and Is. The continent is traditionally divided into 4 regions: the Zenith Desert, Central Mineia, Paranaja and the Land of Winds.

Mineia has a diverse climate, ranging from the arid Zenith Desert to the more temperate Paranaja and Land of Winds. Central Mineia generally has a more humid warm climate, representing a transitional zone between the hotter and cooler regions.
